St. Anthony’s Hospital is proud to be the only hospital in St. Petersburg with a breast program that has been accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). A breast center that achieves NAPBC accreditation has demonstrated a firm commitment to offering its patients every significant advantage, in their battle against breast disease. The Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center at St. Anthony’s Hospital has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). A center of excellence designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that have excellence in breast imaging by achieving accreditation in mammography, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy, and stereotactic breast biopsy. The Breast Center at St. Anthony’s Hospital, is the only breast center in south Pinellas County to receive this designation. We are also accredited by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and Florida and Drug Administration (FDA).
