Kinesis Adds New Dimension of Wellness

Kinesis Class Schedule

Kinesis Interest Form

Raking leaves. Picking up a toddler. Loading groceries into the car. These are just a few examples of the dozens of functional movements we make in a day.

Carillon Wellness Center is proud to offer Kinesis, an innovative new workout, to its members.

Kinesis is a fun, functional workout focused on building stability, flexibility and strength through a series of resistance-based exercises. It returns you to the origins of human movement, freeing you to discover the four fundamentals of physicial abilitites: endurance, balance, strength and flexibility. Kinesis provides a unique workout that restores the right balance between mind and body.

Carillon Wellness Center also offers performance training utilizing the Kinesis training system. Programs are custom designed for golfers, runners, cyclists (mountain and road), swimmers and skiers. Any sport requiring stability, speed and agility can be enhanced with Kinesis training.

The Kinesis Wall is a small group and one-on-one personal training tool. Small classes of three to five people allow the trainer to better customize workouts to each client. The technology of the Kinesis uses the power of its quartet of seemingly simple weight stations where personal trainers can get clients to work multiple muscle groups, core strength, flexibility and coordination simultaneously. Each of its four stations (called "alpha," "beta," "gamma" and "delta") has handles attached to cables in different places so you can switch the direction from which the weight is coming (above, below or in front). And adjusting the load just requires pulling out a pin and sticking it back in at a higher number.
